The expense is negligible in the scheme of things.
I don’t have an opinion on whether they are any use or not: I just wondered if many/any people had received them as it seemed they were to go out imminently
It's Royal Mail handling these - nothing to do with the Post Office.
Our postman hasn't been seen for a while- probably off ill- so we are getting a delivery from what looks like a manager every couple of days. I suspect deliveries are affected in may areas. Something someone sent me a 9 days ago still hasn't arrived.
So Boris's letter may be a day or two yet.
I'm not sure why it's being sent, but in the scheme of things it's only a few million out of the many many billions spent on financial support, NHS and other measures. In a fast moving situation some of the letter could be out of date by the time we read it.
How does it begin
Dear voter
Dear you
Dear sir / madam
Dear God ( what have I let myself in for )
Dear me (what do I do )
hi Boris here ,no look come back don’t runaway I was just gonna say .......
Post could be a problem, was talking to our postman, they have 20 out sick. Also, of course, they cannot ride two to a van anymore, so only one delivering each time. I am still waiting for my car tax renewal form which is a bit of a worry, not that I am going anywhere these days.
I look with revulsion at anything posted through my door these days. A bit like if someone's dog poops on my drive, I look at it queasily and think, "Ugh, now I have to deal with that."
