Just watching the news and they are basically telling us exactly what she will be saying. Why do they have to tell us word for word what she will say? Why not wait until we watch the actual address?

She was very good and measured
Question Author
Yes, very composed as usual and from the heart.
Absolutely Tiggs ,you just felt she meant every word even though it had been written for her
"Why not wait until we watch the actual address?"

The BEEB can't afford the redundancy package for the otherwise unemployed Witchell?
Question Author
It probably is written for her but I feel that the majority of it is her own words.
I think it was the way she brought it to life Tiggs
tiggs, they can only do that because the palace has leaked the text of the speech in advance. I'm not sure why they'd do that, but if a media organisation is given the text of a major speech in advance, they'll publish it, because getting news to the pubic asap is what they do. And it would be what the palace intended them to do.
I thought it was measured and inspiring
I felt slightly disappointed, but I don't know why. Possibly because I already had the gist of what she would say?
I was moved to tears.
‘ moved to tears’ I know, I dislike emerald green to . !!!
I love emerald green and she looked lovely in it.
At the end of her speech, did anyone else hear her say “ If/ when you run out of ventilators and staff just give me a ring at Windsor “ ?
^^^ oh dear ( big sighhhh )
tigger, I agree about being told in advance what she will be saying. But this happens more and more now, especially on TV with its relentless "coming up......". They've even started doing this on Antiques Roadshow where at the beginning they show clips of some of the antiques that will be shown. I don't want to know things in advance!

It's very infuriating Brainiac. Even worse when it's a drama you're following.
