Tigers in a New York zoo have the coronavirus. What next? The fish in the sea? The birds in the air?

Few things have brought tears to my eyes, but this news has. What are tigers DOING locked up in New York?

Do humans really deserve to survive? And are we dragging the animals down with us?

Viruses are living things and depend on other living things to propagate (unlike say bacteria)so it’s unlikely they could get into a food chain as such

That's pretty much what I found, zacs, but couldn't find confirmation on whether you could get a virus just from the food itself. It just seems unlikely.
