I've been wondering why not a lot/nothing has been heard on the BBC about how France is coping with Covid.
Dreadfully sad.

Macron announced a lockdown 16th/17th March with a 6pm curfew everywhere. The Army was also deployed.

I am bit confused by what is he saying. I read that and thought it sounded logical that more in the Muslim community need to recognise that their lifestyle puts them at higher risk. However, reading the article I see he follows that up with ‘If Muslims feel let down, excluded or forgotten but the government response, there will be repercussions that will last longer than the outbreak.’ What is he actually suggesting?

He also complains that a lot of the information is only in English, but instead of complaining could not someone in the Muslim community translate it and make it available to all? It’s not that difficult.

Togo - your link about France is out of date. Lockdown regs have been tightened since then - exercise only once a day and within 1-2km of your home. The latest regs forbid Parisians to exercise between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. French time. Kissing and hand-shaking was outlawed even before the lockdown.

the latest modelling suggests the illness will peak in the UK ina week or so. However, it also suggests the UK will have more deaths than Italy, Spain, France and Germany combined.

Yes in Paris outdoor exercise is banned 10am - 7pm now, which makes sense.
I watch France 24 a lot which I find the best of the news channels for international news also especially in the absence of BBC World

That statistic has already been noticed in the USA especially amongst the Black/American community in Chicago.Other states have recorded this fact. Presently the ownly suggestion tendered ,by a Black/American, is non-compliance re social distancing.

Ignore that bit of irresponsible guesswork from an obscure American university calling itself an Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation and only repeated in the Metro by James Hockaday. Not exactly known for responsible "news reporting". Still.....what do you expect from the source at 11:42. Below is an extract of a comment on the site.
