Have just read that Stirling Moss has passed on aged 90. He brought much pleasure to so many.

TTT, not quite, it was Mike Hawthorn who had been threatened with a penalty after reversing on a track.

Moss defended Hawthofn's actions in front of the Stewards and Moss later lost the Championship to him by one point.

A hero of my boyhood - he seemed to embody all that was good in sport.

Also, by all accounts, a genuinely good man - never read a bad word about him.

Incidentally, following Zac's comment about Mercedes ventilators, does anybody know if they are being given or sold to the NHS. I can only find references to "supplied". Back in the day Lord Nuffield had his Morris factories making iron lungs for polio victims and giving them to the NHS.
