I used to run a bowls club bar and any real ales we had delivered would usually need to be used up within a fortnight at the very most. They could often be 'past their best' in under a week.
Keg beers don't have particularly long shelf lives either. At the end of each bowls season, in September, I had to carefully manage the our stocks, so that we'd hardly any beer left when we closed our doors until the following April. (There was absolutely no way that kegs purchased in September could be used in April. The shelf life of a keg of lager is usually only two or three months, at the very most).
I'm sure that we could find a few ABers to volunteer to drink some of the stuff though ;-)
