I, personally, am agonising over the closure of our village church for the first time in 1,000 years. I quite accept the 'no services' advice, but feel that to close the building is well over the top. If you are on your daily walk, why shouldn't you call in at the church for a quiet minute or two to be on your own and reflect? Actually, I'm very cross - a villager (one of the volunteers who opens and closes the church on a rota, but is not a member of the church) said to me yesterday "You say you are there for us, but the Church is closed". Welby has a heck of a lot to answer for.
