First press briefing after being ill with CV, determined to beat the virus. He won't let it win. We will all come through this. Even if it ruins the economy and wrecks the country. We will beat it! I wonder if he's had a bet with somebody about who blinks first. But determination and strength are the requirement. He reminds me of The Black Knight from Holy Grail. This is how the country will end up. Defiant to the last!

ich //but as for fear, there are many comments here that bear that out.//
Fear of what exactly, sorry but I just don't see it ?
Slight diversion. Murraymints, if your neighbours are ‘ shielded’ you have no need to do their shopping . The Scottish government have made adequate preparations for any ‘ at risk’ people to be fully supported in all aspect of their life , all that is required is a telephone call .

@asquith, how damn waspish can you get !!!
You’ve not been reading the posts by such as teacake then Danny?

And a local forum had someone fuming because a jogger had not waited for them to pass through a narrow alley.
I’m still bemused when people stop in the street and wait for you to pass, when it would ideally be safer to keep going:-)
But that’s by the bye

I'm not- it's far easy to avoid bumping into someone if one stands still and leaves a clear gap. We've all tried the shuffle/swerve where both move the same way at the same time and nearly collide
Hmm; it’s pretty easy to avoid bumping into someone I don’t normally in a quiet street :-)

you really can't help yourself can you Anne ? oh to live life being as unpleasant and vitriotic..but then that's what we have come to expect....and for your information they are not shielded but older and afraid to go out..do unto others Anne but in your case ....
Keep the peace MM . :-)
Sorry. Just them ‘ being older’ will qualify them for assistance during these unsettled times .
Some people really have got their heads firmly wedged up their own backsides here haven't they?

Diddly, I'm sure 3T said he didn't pick his son up in the end (I might be wrong), not that the truth ever dissuaded you from point scoring.

Anne. Nasty, vindictive piece of work aren't you? God forbid anyone should do something for someone else. How self congratulating Minty is, shopping for someone high risk like that. Tut tut.

As usual, this thread has sunk to the level of people lobbing verbal rocks at one another. I've been a Labour voting "lefty" for most of my adult life. And you know what? Some of you make me ashamed of my beliefs. You're an embarrassment to yourself, and you're an embarrassment to Labour.

I would advocate respectful discussion and debate, but I'm starting to think that you're incapable of, or uninterested in doing that.

Shameful.
Anne but why use a service that you say is available from the government when you have a neighbour who is happy and willing to pick it up for you which in turn leaves the service free for someone else to use.
and actually they do not qualify for help... you really do NOT know as much as you think
It's good to see anneasquith's sentence has now been redacted, murraymints, so hopefully we can move on
FF the words have been removed not the vitriolic attitude !
Oh, thanks FF, ? :-)
Mozz - when I asked TTT whether he picked his son up I didn't get an answer. So I assume he did.
I am classed as vulnerable but am still able to go and get shopping I want. If, for some reason, I was not very well I would love to have a neighbour like Minty whom I could ask to help.
Stop carping I think she is doing a great job and giving the word neighbour its right meaning.
