Things seen by pilots are always interesting. They generally know what they're talking about when it comes to things in the sky, so when they see something they can't explain up there it's worth looking into.

Something can be 'unexplained' simply because there is no explanation, based on the science we have.
For some, that means making a leap into the notion that 'unexplained' is the same as 'alien' which clearly it is not.
One pilot also said the magic word 'spinning' which speaks to the subconscious cliché that aliens must come in saucers that rotate.
As a more measured approach, I would be happy to believe that alien species move among us as I type - they have no physical form, so they don't need 'saucers' to fly in - they are simply energy, and they regard us in the way we regard weeds in the garden.
They have no need to 'make contact' because nothing we can offer can possibly be of the remotest interest to them.

I can't believe this hasn't got any traction yet.
I'm sure navy fighter pilots would know:
1) Their surroundings
2) Almost all types of aircraft
3) What aircraft's are flying near them / approaching them / on their radar.
Flights were tracked. No way something that speed could go unrecorded as in.. what specific aircraft it was, where it came from and where it landed... Surely.

I doubt that’s true. Should we discover intelligent life in the universe, however technologically or socially undeveloped that civilisation may be, we would want to discover all we could about it.

Especially as this comes nicely in ties with other recent news (relatively..) that at the time I laughed at, untill the pentagon actually confirmed the videos (which I always suspected to be true) to be ture.

I agree, but also to be weary. Evidently, if UFO's are in the earths atmosphere, then they would be from a civilisation extremely more advanced to ours.
Do they see us like ants in a terrarium or do they see us as something to wipe out and destroy, this could be form many reasons. They may think we're toxic, they may think we're a threat.
Or it could be the opposite... they may want to communicate with us or they may want to learn. Maybe they mine salt from our oceans on the shady?
