Hancock The Baby.
Hancock scared to death to face Piers Morgan and his Questions. This is your so called health minister, who is now dictating to employers that they are responsible for providing PPE in the work place to ensure there safety, this is the guy, that for weeks has failed to protect his own staff on the front line with PPE, not only failed, but the eye protection goggles he did provide where 3/4 years out of date, but insisted that they had been re- tested, but when asked to provide details of the testing, (couldn't) so has now re-called all this PPE, and condemned it, why? he was telling more porkies.
Funny how now after weeks of saying that face masks don't help, that both him and Boris are now recommending them, and to make sure that the so called safety guide lines are followed by employers ( whatever they may be?) are now spending 15 million on employing government jobworths to do spot checks on safety in the work place. Who was spot checking Matt Hancock? Get ready for the next wave of deaths, big time. Oh and I was right about face masks. What happening here is, this government can't come up with a plan, so the next big wave of deaths will be blamed onto the employers shoulders.

I've not seen any section that may refer to a world wide pandemic in the work place, or in health and safety in the work place. And really how can any government say to any employer that you have to make the workplace safe from a virus, Have they made the NHS safe?
I’m still waiting for you to explain why you quoted me and then mentioned Site Rules. Hippocrasy isn’t mentioned in them, so let’s not go down that road, Steg.

workplace safety is not the government's responsibility - it is legally the responsibility of the employer. my company has this morning taken a first look at the guidelines issued yesterday and from the initial page-turn, there will be no change to the arrangements that have existed since the 20th march, that is all offices closed except to the 24hr control staff, and workshop floors restricted to dedicated work crews. having risk-assessed the guidelines, the offices cannot safely be opened.

Teacake - loads have people have been working throughout this crisis- carers, farmers, NHS staff, postal workers, shop workers, call centre staff, bank staff, bus drivers, funeral directors, delivery drivers, many gardeners, etc
Maybe you posted at the time saying how awful it was that Boris. Hancock was allowing these people to work and risk spreading the disease,
All that we've done is opened things up a bit and said employers should consider whether they can make their place of work safe enough to reopen. Some will be able to. Some won't because they have already gone out of business or are still not allowed to reopen- eg hotels, pubs, restaurants. Some will decide it's easier or necessary to just carry on with the furlough schemes paid for by the government.
I wonder whether the changes are as dramatic or dangerous as you think
