Piers Morgan doesn’t talk ‘to’ people - he talks ‘at’ them. I think they’re all being very silly. He could employ his son as a cleaner. He’s talking about common sense - he needs to use some instead of shouting at people and hair-splitting.

I (generally) loathe Piers Morgan and his interviewing style but I think what he and Suzanne Reid have been doing over the past few days is right. They've looked at the government's guidelines and demanded clarity.

Government ministers can't rely on everyone having common sense because the is not a common sense event. It's beyond what anyone has ever experienced.

Specific guidance is needed.

And...Suzanne Reid is a revelation. Never knew she was so ferocious.

It's my guess that, when invited to give her two-penneth, Edwina Currie, having watched the Bridgen fiasco, thought, "Right, i'll teach that Morgan a thing or two." Didn't quite pan out that way.
