I'm not so sure Jan. I bet the opportunity to marry into a British family and to relocate (the bride/groom, not the whole family) to the UK is a huge decider in a lot of arranged marriages.

Chinajan, Brits can marry any foreigner & bring them to UK & apply for a passport for their spouse. In time parents of spouse can be claimed to live here, then parents claim other children to join the family, apply for passports & acquire bells & whistles of indiginous citizens.

Only difference is its not dowry/bought system as with India & Pakistan. If youre insulted by these revalations, too bad! Am more insulted at UK's goodwill being taken advantage of.

That would be tricky - different people dislike different other people so if you asked for an 'exception', you'd get a list of names, not just one.
