at least she realised she had done wrong and stepped down
I expect Diddlydo would suggest certain other offenders do the same thing, apologise and step down.
Yes, she did the right thing. This may be a better example- no apology, just argued it was necessary/justified. Old case though

Let's see how outraged she is by the actual crime though...
Missing the point retro... She ‘ stepped down’ . .

.
The rules were/are easy to understand.
12 people in your garden cannot be explained by not understanding the guidance. Another example of someone who think they are so important that they are above the rules that everyone has to adhere to.
At least she has done a mea culpa and stood down. Someone else didn’t and compounded the original sin by hard facing it out.
She's on?y stepped down temporarily, while the investigation takes place. And she hasn't apologised as far as I can see.

Much like Cummings, only with an investigation.
Looks like she was stepping out to me.
I'm a little confused.

As someone who does not set out to instigate spats with other AB'ers, can someone explain to me why diddly needs to 'change the record'?

Thanks.
That's very convincing.
first sentence - - temporarily
but itis a start I suppose
I'm well aware of the Liverpool case thank you. But she has stepped down, unlike DC. So no need to change the record.
What intrigues me about these politicos and their chums is not so much that they break the rules which very often they themselves frame and by which we plebs are expected to abide, but that they film themselves doing so! And they don't keep the negatives!
I rather doubt the deputy mayor of Liverpool had a lot to do in framing these rules, though. She may be a rule-breaker but she's not guilty of hypocrisy.
That's great, but if you're drawing a comparison between this and Cummings, which you are, then you must conclude that Cummings should also step down in just the same way as this Hypocrite has done - or she should not have.

Correct. I am drawing a comparison between Cummings and The Deputy Mayor of Liverpool. The thread was addressed to diddlydoo who has incessantly bored us to death with her Cummings diatribes but,in company with her fellow lefty supporters, has kept remarkably silent about the alleged contravention of guidelines by the Kinnocks and this woman.Yes . She stepped down. She was not social distancing and would appear to have socialised with people who were not immediate members of her family living under the same roof. Cummings did not contravene social distancing guidelines and was with his immediate family only.

//Current lockdown measures, which were eased on 13 May, stipulate that only two people from different households can meet in outdoor settings – such as parks – as long as they stay more than 2 metres apart.//

That hardly surprises me.

I could explain to you but I can't help you understand but as you wish to exceed your track record yesterday of about 10 answers removed as a result of your contribution to a thread I won't get suckered in to your little games. Really. As a mod you should set an example. You accuse me of spats? pffft
to repeat the short answer: Cummings broke rules he and his associates made in the first place. The deputy mayor of Liverpool, and Kinnock, didn't. This woman has none the less stood down.
//She stepped down. She was not social distancing and would appear to have socialised with people who were not immediate members of her family living under the same roof. Cummings did not contravene social distancing guidelines and was with his immediate family only. //

Give me a break. She was caught doing the wrong thing and resigned (or was pushed). Cummings was also caught doing the wrong thing and didn't resign (and wasn't pushed either).

You made the original comparison between the two, not me.
