I had to pull a used tampon out of my dog's mouth in a walk a couple of days ago. I'm not particularly squeamish, but even I gagged. Couldn't even wash my hands until I got home.

I can assure you it's absolutely true. Had I not seen it I would not have believed it either, so I don't blame you. I have to walk past a McD's to get to the bus stop or the newsagents and I very often see the same people in there (it's a drive-through) many times a week. They were among those I saw in despair when it closed. The parents were asking each other what they should do and some of the children were crying with disappointment.
