From whatever Floyd did until he was restrained, that's on George. What happened in the eight minutes after that? That's the police's responsibility. They had a man in handcuffs and with three officers on top of him. You can't tell me that anything he did previously justifies their actions, and justifies his death.
There is no doubt that George Floyd was a violent and dangerous criminal but his treatment by the police was, to say the least, excessive. What puzzles me is why he seems to be projected as a hero or martyr.
The difficulty in raising someone's past in relation to a current situation, is that it can lead to a culture of invalid retribution, which then slides into an acceptance that the individual 'had it coming' or as punishment for something they 'got away with'.
In my view this lazy thinking sets dangerous presidents and should be avoided at all costs.

According to the Black/American Bishop (same one who gave a Sermon at Meghan's wedding). Mr Floyd is one of God's children with infinite value and worth.
I reckon the bishop would say that about the devil incarnate himself if they both were of the same colour.
His criminal past from your evidence is 1 item albeit a violent one.
He served his time and appears (there are no scandal rags that say otherwise) to have turned his life around.
So the police would have no need to know his name. Isn’t there witnesses who claim he wasn’t given to opportunity to get out the car but was dragged out and then knelt on and murdered?
When you justify it by claiming the police knew him, and they knew his violent criminal past, then you are invalidating the defence that the death was accidental.
You are saying he was targeted, the force used was right, and that the death was inevitable sooner or later.
