I've just been watching some of the footage of the Oxford BLM protest in which they are calling for the removal of Cecil Rhodes statue.
I'm surprised no-one there pointed out to the organisers that the centrepiece- a huge banner spread on the floor - said "POST COLLONIAL ATTITUDES MATTER". I can only assume that's an American spelling. Another placard said "RODES MUST GO".
I'm not sure why so much time was devoted to an anti Israeli speaker talking about Palestine- the only connection seemed to be that the US police are trained by Israel.
Okay jno- the Cecil Rhodes statue. Is that okay?
Yes, roy, I couldn't see a hyphen between post and collonial but I was really querying the extra L (I know of the Oxford comma; I wondered if there is an Oxford L too).
I can understand the BLM issue even though I am not sure how so many can be so sure the George Floyd case was down to racism.
