It was probably a rope handle.

I suppose if you are of short stature you would need a loop of rope to help you pull the garage door down when it was fully up. My dad had one in his garage but it looked nothing like a noose.

yes APG/Danny they are examples, I'd have thought that anyone in the Nascar business would know a rope pull when they see one, I suspect they are in every garage. Generally they'd be bright colours too and noose would not:

FF the one in that picture looks like a standard garage pull to me, a noose needs to fit over a head so should be much larger, that one looks like what you'd expect to see for a hand sized loop. Yep, it's another Smolletism.

Apparently this is not the actual one, TTT- it's a photo of a similar one. Seems nonsense though given it 's been there over a year and he only just got the garage. But I'd need to see it

Not sure how to take this comment - sarcastic or uninformed.
Most racing drivers are smaller in height, vettal is 5'8" for example. I didn't mean he was a dwarf!

There is video about of one of these noose pull cords at racing tracks. They look exactly like a noose in normal coloured rope, not the bright or plastic sort.

It is a usual sight at these events and no one took a blind bit of notice of it.

I did wonder elsewhere where it was found? Was it attached to anything etc etc.

Although if this is a real hate crime then nothing can excuse that behaviour and I’m not saying this is another Jesse Smollett incident but one never knows.

(Again NOT an excuse) But what do people expect when they trash tradition? Of the whole BLM issue they expect total compliance and have gone on a trash and burn epidemic. Did they honestly think they wouldn’t get push back?

at first glance, to me it does look like a noose, I think because the bottom end of the loop curves upwards....but its not a noose knot.
