Any mods around? Can I ask, as a relatively cautious person, how do we know if something like this is appropriate for AB? I am always wary!
thinking the same n.a.c.w
Thanks, Bobbisox! I know people often do this, provide links, videos etc, but the wording on this one disconcerted me.
and me
The recounting of the horrors done to these young people are mostly spoken, a few photographs and some written description but nothing more than you would get on a documentary.

By all means report it if you think it's too heavy.
Ching, I think it's horrific and I hope all those pushing for justice in this regard get all the backing they desperately need.
Thanks, Mamya. I didn't want to assume it was awful... but I also didn't want to open anything truly upsetting.
Totally understand that.
I hope that HK resistance is not crushed, but oh my, what a price will be paid.

Apologies for upsetting anyone by watching the video. Just want to let the world know and support the Hong Konger in their currently situation. Can I be able to delete the video? Sorry again.
Don't worry, if anyone reports it then the Editor will decide if it should stay or not.

For what it's worth I think it should stay.
Chingwan, thanks. No, I didn't want the image removed, I just thought it looked a little odd, slightly menacing. I think I've absorbed the 'don't open anything you don't like the look of' message too much!

Thanks Mamya, other than I feel angry and sad. I don't know how to help the young people in Hong Kong.
I love HK. What is the current situation re the Uk Gov giving HK residents the right to come to the UK? ( havent looked at the news lately)
My mother and her late twin were born in Hong Kong. She's always wanted to go back, but lord knows when it would be safe to do so.
I can understand "too insulting" for AB
or even - "damaging and untrue for a patient to try"
and too harassing for AB is an old well tried one

but too shocking for AB is a bit - - - twee innit?(*)

it goes to show the hong kongers what awaits them and has been done to the Uighur - who whether they like it or not are Chinese

(*)Leddy Carlyle as recently as 1893 said of Thos Hardy's Jude the Obscure - "these people may behave like that but we dont need to know it!"

Hi 2375J, if the new security law passed in Hong Kong, UK government will allow BNO holders (people born in HK before 1997) come to work or study in UK. If they can stay here five years, paying tax and without causing public funds, they can apply for citizenship. That's what I know so far.
Christ...it's a youtube video
roy
you KNOW there are things on you tube which are
quite too shocking for the eyes of AB !

be serious! - this is a serious subject
Well, I`m sure the Uk would like to have the HK people here. I miss HK - I loved going to HK for work
