The Compulsory Wearing Of Masks In Shops And Pubs
The wearing of masks/coverings could be made compulsory is shops and pubs.
I understand how it could work in shops (even though I don’t think it’s necessary) but how would it work in pubs?
Lifting the mask up or down every time you sup is daft.

We wore them in shops yesterday - our smallish Tesco and Lidls.(My first time in a shop for 4 months and my last time I think. I now prefer online shopping). I only bought 1 item! Considering our local little town has only 9000 ish residents I probably didn't need a mask, but better safe than sorry. I would certainly wear one if I shopped in a large town or City and in a supermarket anywhere.
I was surprised that quite few people were wearing one, including youngbprople. It was very hot yesterday and it made me feel hotter.

Boris has not got the bottle to make one decision under his own steam, he's the biggest coward this country has ever had for sure.
He gets everyone else but himself to face interviews, and to sow the seeds. Regarding Gove saying that its basic good manners to wear a mask, is a sure way of starting a brawl in a pub, or anywhere else for that matter, he's has dumb has dumb can be, shocking!!
I'm sure the latter comes under the heading, putting the cat among the pigeons, ruddy dip sticks the lot of them.

Yes I know, danny. I was adding to the debate about whether it should become compulsory. Interestingly the current guidance says this:
“If you can, you should also wear a face covering in other enclosed public spaces where social distancing isn’t possible and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet. This is most relevant for short periods indoors in crowded areas.”
This is contrary to the WHO guidance which says the greatest risk is during prolonged (which it defines as >15mins) face to face contact. Passing somebody in the supermarket or shop presents virtually no risk and checkout staff are protected by screens. The time element of “social distancing” has been completely lost in its interpretation and any encounter with another human being – however brief – is considered potentially fatal.
The guidance also says this:
“It is important to use face coverings properly and wash your hands before putting them on and taking them off.”
To comply with that means that once you put it on you must wear a face covering until you can get to somewhere where you can wash your hands before taking it off otherwise you risk passing an infection from your hands to your face. One precaution I have taken since Day One is not to touch my face whilst I’m out. If I’m to wear a face covering in shops I will have to keep it on until I get home which is often some time later.
This government seems to believe it must “do something” (which usually ends up making the population’s lives more unpleasant) virtually every day. It doesn’t - especially when they don't have much of a clue why they're doing it.
