Although if Ms Begum is allowed home, my worry is that it will open the floodgates to all sorts of terrorists and fellow miscreants to also return. As I said earlier, hopefully a police van will be awaitening her, and anyone else who return to the U.K.

MM she was aware enough to travel illegally on her older sister's passport and aware enough to travel to her destination, which would have taken some planning and not like just hopping on a bus. She must have read or been told about the less than savoury practices of executing people who had been taken prisoner. Torture and chopping heads off in public has been mentioned in all papers and on all news programmes. She knew all this and unlike most 15 year old girls was not feeling revolted by the people who carried out these atrocities but decided to join them.
No she should not be allowed back in this country. She has shown no remorse with either crocodile tears or without. If she doesn't like the camp she is in then tough. I have no doubt she is being treated better than her colleagues treated their prisoners in the Isis camp before then beheaded them for her enjoyment.

Just going off topic slightly, everyone here is saying that at 15, she knew what she was doing. Does that mean folk think that all 15 year olds should be tried as adults? And how much difference is there between 15 and 14? When does a child stop becoming a child, or is it down to what they've done?

Before the war the school-leaving age was 14. My mother had been in full-time adult employment for a year by the time she was 15.

Okay JD, but that was 80 years ago. Things are different today. 14 and 15 year olds should (legally) be in education. Should schoolkids be treated like adults?

What I guess I'm saying is that those girls should've been better protected before they were groomed by terrorists. If 14/15 year olds are groomed by paedos, no-one would dream of blaming the kids, why is it different if they are radicalized by terrorist nutjobs?

Well, hopefully terrorism charges come with a stightly more serious sentence than a severe telling off. I don't think someone as divisive as this girl will get much leniency from the courts. I bloody hope not anyway.
