I think the Home sec has done the right thing in condemning this awful abuse and supporting Mr Lammy but surely this cesspit needs a rocket up it's April.

roy - // Where has naomi said she has access to deleted posts? //
I could 'stand on my post' and advise you to 'take it or leave it' - but I am happy to back up what I say.
Yesterday. naomi posted this -
// I don’t claim to read and assess all deleted posts. //
which infers that she has access to deleted posts, which clearly she does not.

What, and miss Naomi's shattering revelations about her secret access to deleted posts and specially allocated Moderators?

andy, can you direct me to where naomi has said the above? //
08:17 yesterday morning, naomi posted this -
// TCL, a mod who appears to consider any criticism of ethnic minorities to be ‘racist’ was party to that discussion - and I do believe he was in effect ‘presiding’ over that thread - and before AH tells us again that mods aren’t allowed to moderate threads they’re involved in, that isn’t true. They are. That said, I know of one mod who has carte blanche to ‘preside’ over the Science section to ensure that opinions posted there do not contradict the ‘scientific model’. For example, he will remove posts postulating theories that oppose mainstream science on climate change. Quality control he calls it. I call it stifling discussion and an assault on freedom of speech, and it’s the reason that I, personally, no longer post there. //
Might I suggest that you read the thread - anything I refer to is there, I don't make things up and then 'stand by them'.

More likely they have better things to do than trawl back into history to prove a point that is festering in your mind to a point where you have to bring it up who knows how much later.
Perhaps you have too much time on your hands?
Your ability to recall posts from the AED and repeat them suggests you have a level of memory which could surely be put to better use.

ummm - // Andy - stoppit, Naomi didn't say she had access to deleted posts. You're making yourself look like a complete tool. //
There is no need for rudeness, and naomi is more than capable of standing up for herself, she doesn't need you standing on the side-lines being her cheerleader.
Anything pertinent to offer to the discussion?

jim - // When I read the "I don’t claim to read and assess all deleted posts", I assumed that there was an implicit "before they are deleted". //
Really?
A post does not become a 'deleted post' until it is deleted, until then it is just a post.
If naomi is talking about assessing 'deleted posts' then the inference is that she has access to them - because once they are deleted, they vanish from the site.
Unless of course naomi is memorising every post on every thread, spotting the ones that have disappeared - and become deleted posts - and then 'assessing' them retrospectively, which I do not believe she has access to do.
It doesn't take a genius to work out that such a scenario is not feasible - therefore naomi talking about 'deleted posts' cannot have any basis in reality.
