\\A bill giving police sweeping powers to potentially enter homes without warrants while enforcing Covid-19 alert level rules has passed.//
\\That might include, for example, the ability for police or "enforcement officers" to close certain premises or roads, ban certain types of travel or congregations, or require people to be physically distant or to stay at home in their bubbles if necessary.//
\\It also would allow warrantless searches of private property if there was a reasonable belief that the alert level rules were being broken.//

My son lives there, made redundant, his wife was as well and they lost the rent from the person renting a room. Three incomes lost in one go and she thinks the economy will pick up. Too much power it's gone to her head.
Yes agree with all of the above. And the measures taken demonstrate the hysteria that has gripped erstwhile sensible people when it comes to dealing with this.
I said in another thread earlier that NZ had enforced one of the most stringent set of measures in the civilised world. In doing so they trashed large parts of their economy, in particular their tourist industry on which they depend heavily. When will politicians learn that they cannot eradicate this virus by locking people away?
