Personally I would have given this savage 51 days and on each day put a photo of a victim in his cell that he had to apologise to continually. Then I would string him up.

But, in the absence of hanging NZ have given the man the proper sentence, life without parole. I just hope that no liberal do-gooder in the future tries to get him out, like Lord Longford.

I just hope he rots in his cell until he is carted out feet first. Absolute scum.

I wouldn't think anyone would have the b**** to try or they would get lynched.
don't sugar coat it YMB!
With his age it will cost the country the best part of 2.5 million to keep him in prison, there are much better uses for that. i`d kick the box away and wouldnt lose an second of sleep.

Sorry TTT, I feel really strongly where these oxygen theives are concerned.

PP, are you for real? Do you condone his actions or something?
Aaah the classic non sequitur trotted out. Criticising the OP means you think the diametrically opposite to them.
I wouldn't attempt to comprehend what's going on in LDPP's loaf!
Question Author
Ah, the smart ass has arrived.

Nothing to say about the OP then ZM?
Not really worth it when you've made your (usual) feelings made very clear.

You need to stop thinking that the person criticising you must therefore, hold the opposite view to you otherwise you just create a dead-end to your own post. I'm pretty sure PP was pointing out that id anyone on AB would be screaming from the rafters about the death penalty it would be one of about 3 or 4 ABers.
if there are good grounds for overturning it, I hope it is overturned; the rules should be observed. I don't think for a moment it's going to happen, though, it's hard to think of a worse crime.
Question Author
Yes I think you are right jno.
Question Author
So ZM, you are saying that I (and 3 or 4 other ABers) shouldn't post anything you and PP dont like?

If both of you dont like it why dont you just ignore the thread?
Hard to think of a worse crime?? I think when parents kill their own babies and children is FAR worse.
The usual argument against the death penalty is that if it subsequently came to light that the hanged person was innocent after all, then there's no going back, whereas someone in prison could be released, compensated or otherwise. Fair enough - that is undeniably true.

However, that surely doesn't apply in this case. The murderer has admitted his guilt, there's no question of his taking the rap for someone else.

Despite being a "leftie", I can see no other fitting punishment for this person than the death penalty.
Question Author
This one admitted to admitted to 51 charges of murder, 40 counts of attempted murder . Among the dead was a three year old shot a point blank range.

Non of these people were causing him problems, they were unarmed and praying.
'So ZM, you are saying that I (and 3 or 4 other ABers) shouldn't post anything you and PP dont like?'

Erm....no.And thats another classic non sequitur. You're really good at them aren't you!
Question Author
Stop being a prat ZM

Answer the question or dont bother posting. Why are you like this?
He's inside until his dying day. Hopefully, that won't be too long then.
The correct sentence and he should never see the outside world again.
Given the choice between life in prison with no chance of release and the death penalty, I would choose the latter.

A lifetime of imprisonment is a terrifying thought but the execution would be quick and final.

He will suffer more in prison for the rest of his life.
