To me it just looks like family members who didn’t want the boys to be taken away and permanently adopted.

Of course, we have no idea why they were taken into foster care in the first place.

Hmmm. Yes cj. I wonder why the children didn't go to family members rather than a foster home. We may never know the true story behind this. I hope they are found safe and happy, preferably before I go to bed tonight.

The children have been taken back by their family. Not sure how I feel about this as I would like to know why they were taken away in the first place. Where is the mother? What lovely boys they are, they may be quite happy to be back with their extended family. One should not jump to conclusions.

in their culture, the paterfamilias really is that. What the daddy says- goes. I dont there is a concept of orphanage unless the parents are dead and then there would be strong pressure on the rest ofthe family to step in

I think the kids were taken into care
[ and I think they father was doing his " Daddy's word goes" far beyond what was reasonable. The children were just about to be adopted and this is irreversible no matter how innocent the parent is found later ]

There really isnt enough information to make any judgement. For one I wouldn't trust the SS one bit.

It's nothing 'cultural' either, its called paternal bond, something overlooked in this country a lot. It is more than likely the father has deep feelings for his kids and didnt want them to be taken away for ever. Personally having been through this due to divorce I can see why he has possibly done it.

It seems very strange we have not been told why the SS took the children.

I suspect they are abroad by now, Border Farce cant keep people out the country let alone stop them leaving! It is easy to sail over to France from the South Coast and at many small French ports they dont ask for passports when you dock up.
