I don't think we do, in Chatterbank.

Natter and nonsense, it says.
Why is your question cryptic? Is there a prize if I answer it correctly?
Barry - Teacake had a pop at me for not asking questions.
Oh. No prize, then?
o god at least 90% natter and nonsense
Are you addressing your question to Teacake44, or is your question about teacakes who say that we have to ask questions?
More often than not, I don’t ask questions, just post things. And get replies anyway.
I don’t think it’s important unless it’s a serious subject in news.
I love toasted teacakes with lashings of Lurpak.
And jam .
Blackberry jelly :-)
I can live without teacakes.

Please.
Dunelm do huge square teacakes. They’re a bit love or hate...a bit too big but also a bit too big ;)
I'll tell you why one has to ask questions.

Last week I was in a branch of Costa and asked for a coffee, a tea, a piece of carrot cake and a scone with butter and jam, well I was on holiday.

Anyway trendy young thing at the counter said 'We don't have any scones' to which I replied, pointing to my choice, 'What's that then?'

'It's a teacake' he replied and you know what, it was.

How we laughed.
I prefer teacakes to scones. I hate that baking powder taste that you're left with after eating a scone. Does anyone have a recipe for baking powder free scones?
Whilst I do ask some questions, I mainly contribute with answers, even if some are simply opinion, and others less serious but hopefully found humourous. Brightens up the day. Answers are good. Don't have to start threads if you don't feel like doing so.
Thank you, Mamya. I'll give that a try. x
Toasted teacakes give me really bad indigestion.
I like cheese scones. Morrison's do tasty ones but they are too heavy-handed with the baking powder/baking soda (is there a difference?). I agree about the aftertaste.
That'll be the butter, Barsel.
