I don't have a problem with people enjoying themselves, but that's not were it stops. Like I've said before there's a high percentage now that see enjoying themselves as just getting drunk, and some are half way there before even leaving home. I never said that closing the pubs would be a cure for covid, just an attempt to try and reduce the infection rate. Some people party at home, then decide to go out late night clubbing, this at present now can't be done for the moment. Whatever way you look at it, its got to reduce the footfall at night, plus all the other problems that arise from late night drinking. The fools can demonstrate as much as they like in the streets like they did last week after leaving the pubs at 10pm but this will only achieve further prolonged restrictions, or total closure of the pubs. The 10pm restrictions in my view have come into force for two reasons. 1. Alcohol is the main fueling agent for stupidity. 2. To help try and control the spread of the virus for the time being, and the latter can't be done with any amount of success unless we deal with the stupidity, and yes its a shame that such idiots spoil it for everyone else that just enjoys a normal night out.
