i havent read the rest of the answers as i have no desire to see the usual people moaning and the usual people defending, however, is it so surprising that harry has been awakened to racial issues given he has a bi-racial son?

This is what really grates me: how desperate some people (not necessarily you Naomi, but definitely some others) hope the marriage doesn't last. They're simply itching for the marriage to end in tears so the can get their "I told you so"s in.

Mozz, I'm not itching for the marriage to end... and I know you didn't include me in that. I loved it all when it was happening - lovely fun bloke - beautiful girl - beautiful wedding - the fab four with William and Kate. In retrospect, I don't now believe the life of a working royal was what Meghan really had in mind. I think she's calculating and personally ambitious - and his arrival on the scene was a gift from the gods for her. As Harry said, 'What Meghan wants Meghan gets' - and that does appear to be the case.

Maomi, I've never seen you act as I described, which is why I went out of my way not to include you. But you have to agree, there are some who hated Meghan from the start, whether it was because of her race, har nationality, her.personality or whatever. As for the "whatever she wants she gets", I think that the case with many newlyweds! I'm sure it will even itself our over time.

I can honestly say I would know nothing of their witterings if it wasn't for reaction posts like this one. They are really easy to ignore!

Mozz, some thought she had a lot to say for herself in the beginning - she did come across to me at the engagement interview as rather more confident and outspoken than we're used to with our Royal Family’s more formal ways - but overall this country welcomed her with open arms. It truly did. That wedding brought real cheer especially amid all the gloom of the Brexit hullaballoo. Furthermore, I honestly have never met anyone who has any objection to her ethnicity. Never. I think that complaint has been, and is being, blown out of all proportion and is now being used as a woke hobby horse - along with all the other woke hobby horses these two are riding. I hope I'm wrong but I suspect it will end in tears for Harry.

I haven't either, but I wouldn't hang around with people with extreme views like that. I have however seen plenty of views of that nature in various comment sections and on social media outlets. Some people are vile when it comes to race, and I can see how hurtful that can be to the people it's aimed at.

Is your issue then with what they're saying, not the fact that they're saying it? If they had more Right wing attitudes, would you be able to tolerate them more?

Mozz, They wanted a private life away from the glare of publicity but are now making a meal of the BAME thing, global warming, shovelling out sanctimonious platitudes about the poor, and, despite having turned their backs on this country and our queen they shamelessly trade on the Sussex title (without which they would be nothing) to promote themselves further. Would I feel differently if their politics were otherwise? No. I detest hypocrisy in all shades.

I have said it before, I know, but I firmly believe before many years pass Harry will be back in the UK, alone, but with visits to his son. Not that I wish it to happen. It's just a feeling.

The privacy craving pair have just signed a "fly on the wall" Netflix reality show deal. As you do when privacy is the driving force in your actions and behaviour. But, but, the show will be "tastefully" done(whose standards?) and strive to give people(the plebs) a glimpse into their lives and see all the charity work they do. Pass the sick bag already Alice as they say in L.A. The place they flew to in a sponsored private jet(with no publicity) from Canada where the fled to ( with no publicity) after declaring that they needed to find themselves and transition(they do love that word out there in wokeopia) into a progressive new role? He transitioned into a lapdog and she transitioned into a money hungry wolf. The mission statement was that they wanted to shine a light on people and causes around the World. Bless and alas, They now find that they cannot bear to share the limelight...particularly when there is $140 million under it. So much for the “modest life of seclusion and privacy away from the media spotlight” that was essential for the mental wellbeing of a bit part actress.
