ZM: "It's a proposed tax on all cars, not just electric ones. Shouldn't it be drivers of petrol / diesel cars who are annoyed? " - possibly, I suppose it depends if they are going to drop VED, if so I'd be fine with it as I do a small amount of mileage but with multiple cars.
