From all the news items I've read in the press, it appears that Boris Johnson's fiancee Carrie Symonds is in a strong position of power.

But the monarch must have the sense to distinguish good advice from flawed opinion. Advisors can help with this. Same thing must be true for nations with a prime minister as actual head of state. We trust ours can stand firm on the nation principles at this time.
Lets face it anything that's difficult to explain is left to either Rishi Sunak or Matt Hancock since the beginning of this year. We have Boris who is now isolating ( only isolating) but presenting himself on video looking like he had just rolled out of bed, I could understand this look when he did have covid but really can't find a reason for this present poor turnout. It don't really fill you with confidence does it.
Well,Im more of an expert in knickers but anyway here goes...
"but presenting himself on video looking like he had just rolled out of bed"

Er um ...
It’s all advice. What a leader has to do is decide who he wants to guide him and what of the advice to take. No one else can make that call.
Johnson works listen to eg Cummings and Cain and agree with them. Then he’d be swayed back by his partner again. Now I’d say that’s a result. Others would disagree, but what I think a lot of people agree is: you need to be decisive. Just because you’re officially an advisor does not necessarily make your advice better then anyone else’s.

"Trouble is she's female, and that never goes down well"
May I remind you the Tories have had two female leaders both Prime ministers so that statement is garbage.
She should not have any say in what goes on, there is a world of difference between a contracted and paid advisor and WAGs.
And we all know Johnson is ruled by his little head.
//IF// this is true then Johnson will have to go as he is compromised.
