I wonder what Jeremy's supporters think?

Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke, he won't be missed

He'll still be there, bobbi. but as an Independent MP rather than a Labour MP.
Oh well.
Bet this has upset Momentum no end.
Can he put a paper bag over his head then Naomi :0))
If he is so much loved and supported he could start his own Political Party. Dianne Abbot shadow chancellor.
lol Retro.
I am suprised his henchman McDonald has not had any flak directed his way. He seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth! I have'nt heard any protestations about their glorious ex leaders plight from either of them on the radio today. Some mates!
@13.42.In an earlier posting of mine i postulated that Magic Grandad could form his own anti-semitic political party and see who many idiots voted for him.I suggested he could call his party The National Socialist British Workers Party.Im sure it would be a success!!!
Hmm... so one is not allowed to have a different opinion than the official party one, then. That is an unhealthy situation and may well be seen as the new leader having a go at their predecessor to ensure everyone knows who's boss. One party, one view, or hit the road.
“I am suprised his henchman McDonald has not had any flak directed his way”

If you mean John McDonnell, he’s hardly a henchman of Jeremy Corbyn.
This is a smell step but a welcome one. There won’t be civil war in the Labour Party I suspect, much to the disappointment of many
To think he was leader of the Labour Party, unbelievable.
@15.07.Wasnt McDonnell a bit of an IRA apologist also,Ich.It wouldnt surprise me if he was.
McDonnell was Corbyn's lick spittle imo. Birds of a feather and terrorist sympathisers.
This is not a solution to any problem. His views, which he will no doubt expound, are still anti-semitic as are those of McDonnell and Abbott his close friends. They form a nasty little coven. If they want to belong to a political party then let them form one and be open about it - if that is possible.
"McDonnell was Corbyn's lick spittle imo. Birds of a feather and terrorist sympathisers"

No there's really very little similarity berween them, other than both being well to the left in the party. McDonnell is an intelligent operator. It's well documented that they've not been close for a long time. TBH no one with any intelligence who was serious about Labour being in power could stomach Corbyn for long. Only what the fact of him being leader might mean for left wing policies. But McDonnell had long since given up on Corbyn as a viable leader. It was effectively JM leading the serious business of the party for much of the latter time.

Do you recognise the phrase,'I own this disaster it lies on me'?
Who said it about who?
If that is not showing support for your leader by taking his bullet I don't know what you call friendship and/or a lickspittle.

That is because compared to Corbyn, McDonnell is honest.
But I can only imagine what he really thinks :-)
This answers the recent question on here about the majority he had at the last election - they will have someone else to vote for if they only voted for him because they wanted to vote Labour.
The current situation with Corbyn underlines in great detail - and before the media and the wider world - the problems within the Labour Party, specifically its discipline procedures.

It should not have been possible for the Executive to go against the Leader and re-admit Corbyn, only for Starmer to have to step in and withdraw the Whip from him - it points out that the Executive and the Leader are not on the same page on this issue, and the faulty procedures have allowed the former to embarrass the latter.

The sooner Starmer re-writes the discipline procedures - planned for January, the sooner this sort of debacle can be avoided.

Corbyn had no place in the Labour Party of the past, he absolutely has no place in the Labour Party of the future.
