Have A Covid Jab And Don’t Die
Apparently that is not enough. We have to be told by a beloved celebrity.
So who would tip the balance for you to have the vaccine?
Is it Ant or is it Dec? Timmy Mallet or Macca Pacca?
Who would persuade you to be vaccinated ?

For those opposed to having the vaccine for whatever reason, I implore you, if you develop symptoms please DO NOT burden the NHS by attending hospital, regardless of how ill you feel.
Stay home and let natural selection take its course as you fight for every breath because THAT is what you are deciding on of your own volition.
The overwhelming feeling amongst colleagues is if you’re not prepared to take that one small step to help yourself and avoid infecting others, you frankly DO NOT deserve medical treatment of any kind, so please don’t rely on it, you don’t deserve it.

// sometimes there are good reasons why someone might not want to be vaccinated. Not always blind stupidity.//
the only thing I can think of is - SOME types of immunosupression. Most other types need the jab BECAUSE they are immunosuppressed - like me and a lot of other people - so they need it more

chilldoubt can you make it clear please that your view is NOT the policy of the hsopital you work at
and that ( yawn - as you well know) if people are ill
they will get treated
[that was why Rick Jolly ( barts man you know) got a medal from the argies after the falklands ( monarchs permission rqd and granted) because he made this point.]
Lucky we are all anonymous here

For those big on letting no one through their front door without some sort of vaccine certificate, there is no evidence, as previously posted, that the Oxford vaccine stopes asymptomatic transmission (that may come) and the US vaccine apparently has doubts about that too.
So that precaution may be a bit over the top.
As for those who'd not have it and also not let anyone else near them, well ... :-)

people go to hospital for many reasons, those who smoke too much, should we abrade them for getting cancer

If there was a vaccine against cancer though, everyone would have it, wouldn’t they?
Regardless of what people think of the marvellous NHS, the unpalatable truth is that the vast majority of us have had a belly full of this whole experience and blind stupidity in refusing a vaccine just exacerbates the feeling towards the idiocy that has pervaded throughout this whole situation.
If you don’t want the vaccine, ship out to somewhere where you won’t be a burden, not a lot to ask.
The outcome of a lot of the research shows that obesity and a sedentary lifestyle are major contributing factors to a poor outcome, but how many will alter their ethos and outlook?
Not many I’ll wager!
In short, start to take some responsibility instead of always relying on the NHS to fix all your ills when you’ve contributed to your own demise.

7:14, thank you, pp. Yes, sunny dave responded as well. I am just interested in the real statistics. I know this wouldn't have been allowed to happen... but, technically, you could vaccinate 1m volunteers, for them all to go home and shield for 3 months, so the correlation between the jab, and contracting it, is harder to tell?
I totally disagree with you, chill. Thankfully, everyone is entitled to the best medical care possible.... it never has been and hopefully never will be, up to medical professionals to judge, or try to manipulate people's behaviour based on perceived IQ, lifestyle, ignorance, or anything else. Informed consent is ethical, punishment for individual health decisions, isn't.

Wrong. Medical professionals are CONSTANTLY manipulating (warning) patients about their lifestyles and habits and how they may need to change in order to treat them effectively i.e. a ‘help us in order that we may help you’ approach.
If you don’t heed the advice, don’t expect a panacea when it’s too late.
As I say, time for people to take some responsibility.
So as I asked, how many would refuse a cancer vaccine?

Good grief chillldoubt how incredibly rude you were to me. I'm not interested in your reason except you can't have read any previous answers. Jesus can't people discuss this largely unexplored topic without being so damned derogatory to those you don't agree with?

It’d help if you did a little background research first.
On this subject I’m not one for procrastinating.....terse answers are what some need in order to negate this ‘I don’t trust the vaccine’ approach.
