Some positive news - initial supplies of the Covid vaccine have now arrived safely in Scotland and are being stored securely. The first vaccinations are on track to be administered on Tuesday.
//shouldnt the news have come from Westminster first, just asking before someone moans//
What the news of the arrival in Scotland of vaccine and date when they hope to start immunising in Scotland
Why would the first minister for Scotland not mention it in her daily briefing?, it’s the biggest news since COVID started.
Pretty sure the news did come from Westminster too, I knew about my local hospital being in the same position several days before maggie posted this, it was on the radio. It is good news for the whole country - as a whole. Without doubt the OP would suggest Nicola got it for Scotland first though.
I got a phone call from local hospital yesterday afternoon and I go for my first vaccination on Friday.
Very pleased about that. However, I will check it out with my Respiratory Consultant who luckily will be telephoning me on Wednesday. It's the negative side I'm concerned about but she knows what's left of my lungs better than anyone so I would like her to confirm that having the vaccine is right for me.
I would think so. My son has asthma and is currently shielding, other than myself, he is the only person I can help decide for (under 18). So, as he is currently healthy, I would like to double-check whether the vaccine might cause breathing difficulties. Just... forewarned... etc.
