ISnt it better to have your tier to high than risk others bringing it in and then hope the figures improve
On 2nd December when London was placed in Tier 2 and Manchester in Tier 3, the Manchester figure was lower than London’s.
Londons figure was rising and Manchesters was down 25%. Yet we got 3 and the capital got 2.

You obviously didnt see the explanations of how they worked out the tiers, Sunk. Or maybe your just cherrypicking and conveniantly forgetting the ones that dont support your 'case'.
In case youve forgotten or were too busy to look it up there were several factors, 5 a recall. Infection rates was only one. An example of another factor was capacity in hospitals- maybe you should check on those as well for Manchester and London on those dates- but the answer was well publicized at the time.

Well its the same all across the Uk, Europe, the world, dave50. How come no goverments think we should put teh economy before lives. Germanys economy does okay and tehre going to be stricter than us over Christmas. Oh yes, and more peopel comply there which helps.
In the long run its better for the economy in my view to do what were doing, and its essential to stop are NHS collapsing and more key workers dying.
