What do you think about the manner in which he expressed his anger at crew members apparently breaking covid guidelines?

Have you shouted at anyone, colleagues, pedestrians, etc for apparent breaks in rules/guidelines?

No, nor will I.
I met someone once who worked with TC on some of his more famous films. From what he told me about him, I`m not surprised at his behaviour.
Unacceptable but totally understandable in the circumstances.
If you are passionate about something and you are that type of person, then you will respond as difcTom Cruise.
Yes.....I have done the same....not proud of it but would do the same again given the same set of circumstances.
yeah
didnt get thanked for it
it involved oxygen
It was a perfectly rational response I believe.
Is anybody actually taking any notice of the daily rising figures across Europe?
Imagine the damage to his reputation and the film studio if crew on the film developed Covid or passed it on?
I say well done him for taking responsibility.
um or er lack of it
There are ways of putting your views across. That is not the right way. In particular, I thought it appalling that he threatened them with the sack, when he's not even their employer.
Spoilt brat.
if the star wants you off the set, you're off, Hopkirk. If he wants you off because you're risking the health of your fellow workers, then maybe he's got the wellbeing of others in mind.
I don't know if you have actually listened to the recording. He comes across as a bully.
What do I think about a famous individual and throwing a fit and ranting at others ? I can understand annoyance but the reaction means he simply let himself down.
Gobby little git.
From what I gathered from the person I talked to, he wasn't exactly popular amongst the crew which is probably why one of them decided to record him. He sounds like a complete prat and I`m sorry but you just don`t speak to people like that.
that's how it is with stars, Hopkirk. Clark Gable got the director thrown off Gone With The Wind because he suspected him (correctly) of being gay. Stars get their way.

But he's right. The filming's already been delayed by Covid. The industry is in trouble. People are losing jobs. Rant it may be but it's hardly a selfish one.
All I can say is some of you must have left work (retired) in the days when bullying in the workplace was commonplace. It's not nowadays and rightly so.
film sets aren't the sort of workplaces most people would recognise, though. Making an MI film isn't in the same league, for better or worse, as being a chartered accountant.

If the people he was yelling at had done nothing wrong they could well feel aggrieved. But does anyone know if that was actually the case?
The workplace doesn't matter. Bullying is never acceptable. There are ways of saying things and putting a point across
^and even if they had done something "wrong" you just don't speak to people like that.
if i acted like that at work, no matter wha the provocation i'd be asked to take a "little holiday"
^ I`d be sacked.
