But today they would vote Boris out of office if they could, and today they would boot out 81 Conservative MPs if they could. That doesn’t sound like much of a surge for the Tories.

If the figures suggested by the Sun are remotely correct it would mean that the SNP would hold the balance of power, and we all know which side they would come down on. The prospect of the Scottish tail wagging the English dog should give serious pause for thought.
