As mamy says, yes it is. "The Egg Stores" is at the southern end of Stamford Hill, just south of Stoke Newington Station. I'm not sure it sold eggs as I never went in there. Egerton Road (where said school is) is about a mile away, north of the Stamford Hill crossroads on the right as you head to Tottenham. At the end is Stamford Hill bus garage (which used to be a Trolleybus depot). My first job as a "Saturday Boy" was in "Cohen's Smoked Salmon" which was a small supermarket on the crossroads at Stamford Hill, diagonally opposite the cinema.
Mazel Tof !

I agree with you on that front NJ. I come from down the road in Wood Green and my dad did a lot of business with the Jewish community (gold). As a kid I used to tag along with him when he collected jewellery/money, and I was never, ever allowed in the houses in Stamford Hill, they were very private people. If I had to put money on it, it would be that that was a Jewish wedding, and the school absolutely knew about it. Anyway, nowhere should be hired out for an event at the moment unless it's for Covid tests or vaccinations.
that's the trouble, emmie, it's not really "law". Everything's been so vague since the beginning that it was fine to drive to Durham for an eye test.
Some people think they're above the "advice" but that's about the worst you can say of them. And virtually all the "fines" that were issued last year turned out to be illegal.
