OK so we know that less than 1% of people are TG, right? so who is spending all their time scanning the airwaves for even the slightest dissent on the "prescribed" view on the subject? An MP is subjected to abuse and threats and sacked for merely stating "women are adult human females" - gawd, they've made me side with an SNP MP!

I just get sick and tired of this stupid idea that you can pretend to be that which you are not.

It would appear that the thrust of 'abuse' occurs via social media, which we all know is the platform of choice for the intellectual pygmies who are unfortunately afforded a voice they neither need or deserve, through which to peddle their ill-conceived un-thought-through ignorant numpty nonsense to an utterly indifferent wider world.
Giving such people publicity merely fans the flames, and while I would never for one moment condone the abuse of any individual for any reason through trolling, someone who has the character and fortitude to fight and win an election seat, needs to demonstrate similar determination not to entertain the ramblings of immature keyboard twonks, and not to draw attention to them, which simply makes them worse.

ynaf - // Should people who are transphobic not be outed Andy?Very non-PC not calling them out. //
I have just re-read my post, and I have not managed to locate any inference, direct or indirect, that says that transphobic people should not be exposed.
It is my view that they should be exposed, but that is not what my post was about, which is why that point was not included in it.

SparklyKid - // one of those neanderthaals who believe that transgender males who identify as females are not females at all. //
If you think about it, the option for transgender males to identify as females is surely a decision for them individually, rather than you making a negative blanket assessment about complete strangers, who are not impacting your life in any way shape or form.

SparklyKid - // Hi Andy, if a bloke in a frock goes into a ladies changing room when my daughters were in there I would be horrified. //
That is an individual circumstance which directly affects people close to you - that's a long way from sitting at your computer pronouncing on the rights of an anonymous and unknown group of people to identify themselves as they wish - don't you think?

Avatar Image [email protected] you are a reactionary fascist,Sparkly.Write out a hundred lines-"Alpha males who identify themselves as females are definitely, definitely, definitely females".Off you go now.
As a normal male I can most definitely assure you I have no female bits.

Sparkly could write it out a hundred times, but what would be the point?
A statement that is fundamentally incorrect is still incorrect, whether it is written out once, as you have done, or a hundred times, as you have advised Sparkly to do.

People can, and do pretend to be something they are not every minute of every day, on various levels, and in various circumstances.
It's just part of the human condition, and really not something to get worked up about.
Donald Trump pretended to be president - but the world still turns ...

'They' say it's the lowest form of wit, but while 'they' were about it, they could have added that, unless it is absolutely clear that sarcasm is intended, then written sarcasm is easily missed, and misunderstood, and that is one of the drawbacks of posting on the internet.
