i wonder how this will turn out, the weka judges will erm probably let her return, thus allowing all the others to do the same, moneys no object or public safety only points of law matter.

Section 6 is interesting "She appealed for her human rights claim" What about the human rights of people like Alan Henning and James Foley?

TTT // nope, that's one of the reasons we left the EUSSR.//

In fact, the European Court of Human Rights isn't an EU institution, only the European Court of Justice. OTOH, I doubt whether the ECHR would overturn a UK Supreme Court ruling. Even Human Rights legislation has to allow for the interests of National Security.
That's two bits of good news this morning I've heard and it's early, Begum is refused entry and my friends 39 year old daughter has been told a half an hour ago, she's cancer free
What a lovely day x
//Even Human Rights legislation has to allow for the interests of National Security.//

That's a novel idea. ;)
If I was you, bobbi, i'd buy a Euro-millions ticket and go back to bed.
ichkeria
There are many people in a similar situation - she has made the headlines.
It's easy to jump on the bandwagon, but ultimately these decisions may not be in our best interests, far from it in fact.

You would prefer homegrown terrorism to continue unabated instead, yes? I do often wonder which planet some abers are from I really do
Good idea Spicey but not going back to bed bit:0)
Bobbi: "What a lovely day x " - yep and I get my jab this afternoon! waiting for something to go wrong!
//She gained full criminal responsibility for herself when she became 14 years old…//

Just on a point of order, the age of criminal responsibility in England and Wales is ten.

//spice: "Can they still appeal to that European court? " - nope, that's one of the reasons we left the EUSSR.//

As pointed out, Tora, the UK is still a signatory to the European Convention on Human Rights. As such the European Court of Human Rights can be asked to rule on this matter. Whether they Ms Begum will take an appeal there is unknown. Although our own Human Rights Act (on which the Supreme Court would certainly have relied on in their deliberations) near enough mirrors the ECHR, if it was heard in Strasbourg there would be no guarantee the verdict would go the same way.

Hmm maybe you didn’t read all my posts carefully enough.
No matter ...
Ich, could you reply to my post at 10.14?
Also this just might show Britain flexing her muscles to those that think about going to fight along terrorists that they won't be welcomed back , they chose their evil bloody lives, let them rot doing it !
couldn't agree more bobbi...
She didn't do herself any favours when she said how she was "unfazed" by the sight of an ISIS removed human head in a bucket.
What I would like to know is just who is prosecuting her case and who is funding it.
Well it certainly won't be the Syrian regime JD so it'll be good ole Tax paying legal aid, complete waste of money !
If she's no longer a British citizen, how does she qualify for legal aid?
Some 'uman rights' outfit, jd. We'll be paying, one way or the other.
Britain should not wash their hands on her and she should be allowed into UK, says four Con mps . Andrew Mitchell,
David Davis,Tom Tugendhat and Tobias Ellwood, in a letter sent to Dominic Raab & Priti Patel.
Well they lost that argument then didn't they ?
