Alas not, Zacs. As much as I would like to keep my GPs out of the loop as far as possible, occasionally and very reluctantly I have to go there. I'd far rather simply go to somebody who can sort out my problems but I have to go through the clearing house first.

AB knows my feelings about Primary Care in the NHS which is expensive and a total anachronism.
Patients should have direct access to specialists and in cases of doubtful areas of referrals, a triage or consultation between patients and nurses.
Practising GP'S should have a speciality or interest.
Face to face consultations and home visits are a total waste of time and should be made by nurses in the main and by doctors only in exceptional circumstances.
Diabetic management by GP,s on the whole is a total waste of time and money.

Because none in my local health area is any better than the one I currently have and I would not be permitted to register with one outside my area.
Apart from that, since they all seem equally ineffective I don't see the point in schlepping all over the place for shoddy service which should be largely unnecessary anyway (see sqad's answer above, which makes my point far more eloquently that I can).
