We are testing more people so the figures are bound to rise. Surely only hospitalisations and deaths are the only numbers we should be concerned about which are falling due to the vaccine.

But very few under 50s become seriously ill with covid so any rise in infections will not be a problem. Only perhaps to those who refuse the jab but I have no sympathy with them.
dave...infections, even those that don't cause serious illness, open the door to the possibility of variants. Getting the infection level down and keeping it down is still important....also no vaccine is 100% effective. The fact that we have vaccines is brilliant but not the be all and end all.
