SNP defections to Salmond's new band of brothers. First Brexit, then Labour defections, Labour's terrible G.election, now SNP split. At this rate, Tories will be in power forever.

So Alba is the Gaelic for Scotland. Didn't know. Wonder why it's not been used before in a political context. Sounds like a cheap transistor radio to me. Why didn't they call it 'those are nice baps' after the leader's, admitted, unacceptable behaviour towards women?
KEN, I seen a short clip from his video and he definitely didn't use the Gaelic pronunciation which is more of a, "ahl-uh-puh" to my ears.
the BBC already has a Gaelic-language channel called Alba, Paigntonian

That's why they've got no money to pay for proper programmes.
Ken4155 - Alba is the Gaelic name for Scotland and is pronounced
Al-a-ba
I think it might be an abbreviation for Ali-baba, will he round up 40 thieves though?
I'm sure that gig's awarded to the Tories, Khandro.

Plenty to choose from.

My God. A Gaelic channel? Love to know the viewer figures. How come they haven't followed the welsh and had road signs in Gaelic? Or have they?
Corbyloon, I saw an interview with him where he kept switching between the two pronunciations. It was a bit silly really. He should at least decide on one or the other.
Our police cars and ambulances are double-stickered too.
Poileas and Ambaileans.
Luckily a blue light is a blue light or confusion could arise among the teuchters.

Ochone. :-)
Indeed they are Susan .:-)
Is there any political issue in Scotland other than independence? I think if I was a Scottish Tory/Labour/LibDem MP I would refuse to get involved in this petty little inhouse issue and focus on the bigger problems facing the country.
Just that and COVID, Ellipsis, keeps The First Miniature from wearying.
Sometimes i wonder if i am living in a paralell universe.Virgin Sturgeon versus Randy Sandy, meanwhile the Tories and the Scottish Labour Party and the Scottish Lib-Dems are more interested in navel gazing rather than using the on-going SNP civil war to help us ordinary jocks.
LOL @ Doug .
I heard it was a refreshingly honest acronym/name for the party.

All ladies be aware.
Douglas; With 16,000 children being assessed as homeless in Scotland*, not to mention the worst teenage drug addiction in Europe, don't you think the SNP leadership should have higher priorities than independence from Britain & desire to lead its people, like lemmings, into the failing EU ?
