Irish is a puzzling language indeed.
Repressed in written firm by the British for years which allowed different dialects to prevail in a way that might not otherwise have happened.

Only 11 irregular verbs? Hmm!
No letter “v” as already observed, despite the “v” sound being common! You always get the feeling that there are two few letters (18) working overtime in a rather inefficient way!
