The very idea that Wales could prosper as an independent country is frankly risible, and most Welsh people know that.

'[Plaid's] plans include creating 60,000 green jobs, extending free school meals and social care free at the point of need.
Economists cost checking the promises called them "achievable" but could not say if "the spending is adequate to achieve the desired results".
Plaid leader Adam Price said the "practical, deliverable and fully costed policies" would lead to a "fairer, greener, and more prosperous future for Wales".'
Have you an alternative analysis of the manifesto?

I’m seriously not one bit bothered , I’m happy with England going it alone if the Scots and the Welsh break away, but at least the Welsh aren’t begging to be let back into the EU , are they ? There’s money tree expansions both in Scotland and Wales reading what they ‘intend doing ‘ I say , get on with it close the door on your way out :0)
Abuse - where?
Personally I am struggling to understand where the money is coming from.
a Welsh Green Deal creating up to 60,000 new jobs, a youth jobs guarantee for 16 to 24-year-olds, and zero interest loans to support small businesses
extending free school meals to all primary pupils, investing in 4,500 extra teachers and support staff, and providing free childcare from 24 months
cutting average council tax bills, introducing a weekly child payment rising to £35 a week, and delivering 50,000 social and affordable homes
providing social care free at the point of need; training and recruiting an extra 1,000 doctors and 5,000 nurses and allied health professionals; guaranteeing a £10 an hour minimum wage for care workers
That lot will cost a fortune so I'd like to see the costed analysis to understand the funding.
The only thing, provided they used hydro would be the establishing an energy development company, Ynni Cymru, so that 100% of electricity in Wales comes from renewables by 2035. Do it correctly and you could sell it on, but this lot will be hung up on windmills and the such like that dont work well enough.
As for the analysis I am not convinced it includes going it alone. I just cannot see how Wales could be easily Independant. It's only chance would be as a tax haven, but I doubt the left leaning Welsh would go that route.
All seems bizarre with the information we have.

You say that JD but Drakeford is hated by many from what I can see so they may well pick up some votes there.
Not enough to win and have to actually implement the manifesto but then these sorts of parties never think they will have to. Liberals thought the same until they formed a coalition and then the realities of running a country sunk in.
