I agree with you, "man has haircut", not a story, whereas "former Prime Minister uses contacts and influence to lobby for finance company" is far more significant for the democratic process.

Cameron, along with many other politicians and senior civil servants, may not have done anything wrong, technically or otherwise, but to be fair they are the ones who made the rule, so it is in their vested interests to make rules that mean they can "feather nest" when they retire or are out of office.
