Mayor Of London
Sadiq Khan, Labour, has won the election for Mayor of London for the second time.
At least he won't be spending Tax payers money on Buxom Blondes, as a previous Mayor did, when was elected twice.

After frittering it away on an 82% increase in staffing costs I doubt he has much left for anything else - which is probably why he's done nothing noteworthy.

//The Conservatives fielded a not very good candidate.
Not sure there is anything significant to deduce from it.//
REsults: Despite being against a poor candidate Kahn didnt get through on the first round. In the end he got 55.2% vs 44.8% of the poor candidate using second votes. The breakdown of votes is here: https:/ /www.st andard. co.uk/n ews/uk/ electio ns-2021 -update -full-l ist-may or-of-l ondon-a ssembly -electi on-b933 942.htm l and is interesting reading. Khan didnt do quite so well as being made out and it rather looks like if the Tories had fielded a better candidate they may well have won.
So plenty to deduce from it.
