and farewell Anneliese Dodds (useless) and Lisa Nandy (out of her depth). But one wonders who picked the team. Could it have been Hair Gel Man? If Sir Keir has the semblance of a brain Hillary Benn should be shadow foreign sec (experience) and that would be a start.

Oh dear ...
Starmer looks even more ineffectual as he attempts to more Mrs Rayner and she refuses to go! It really doesn't say a lot for his authority as leader, and the entire party is now smelling blood.
He is the proverbial 'dead man walking' and the sooner they get someone in the job who actually knows what they are doing, the sooner the utter embarassment of the Labour Party can at least move towards finding a different position.

I actually do not dislike Starmer at all - I think he is quite level-headed, sensible, and hard-working... he is not the root cause of Labour's problems imho... which is that the left vote is split between several parties who are all trying to drag Labour in different directions. The tories only had one party on their "flank" - UKIP in various guises - and drummed up Brexit in order to defeat them.
Only way we'll be rid of the wretched tories is if the British left finds a way to unite and campaign as one organisation. Not a quick and easy thing to do... so we're stuck in Toryocracy for the foreseeable.
