Thanks ken. Probably will turn out to be a mischevious claim but it suggests bad admin by Boris and or the staff at 10 Downing Street to not challange it much earlier
when it comes to defamation, the County Court has no jurisdiction, unless both parties agree to give consent in their dispute
(County Court Act, 1984, section 15 and section 18)
it would be interesting to learn how a matter reserved for the high court was dealt with online.
HaHa. It now transpires that ms Yvonne Hobbs is a covid conspiracy theorist who is constantly launching attacks against people and institutions, M&S and The Royal Mail being others. Next questions. Which "court" issued the "judgement" and did the officials know full well that this was political mischief? Did the "news outlets" that released the scurrilous headlines know full well that this was a malicious accusation, without merit, before duping the easily manipulated? If so what must we do. I would suggest scrapping the licence tax is the place to start.
Gulliver // Well Boris can't even coyoume up with the cash.//
He does'nt have to pay any cash. The claim was spurious as you would know if you had bothered to read the link.
