A major blow for mainland European vaccination is obviously not good for the UK. If our neighbours suffer a new wave then that will have health and economic implications for us.
The AZ vaccine is harder to make at scale than originally thought, so production is not able to cope with deadlines. That is just a fact of life. No litigation or hectoring from the EU is going to change the situation. The legal proceedings are merely to divert EU citizens’ attention away from the fact that the EU vaccination strategy was poorly designed and executed.

//Europe should Ban all Brits to keep the Delta version contained in the UK. Not allow it to leak into Europe. If it's Contained there is more chance of fighting it//
The Delta variant is in Australia and they have banned just about everybody from visiting for the past year or more. It is believed to have been first found in a driver, a man in his 60s, who drives a limousine as part of his work and is involved in transporting international flight crews. International flights are still operating because much of the world's freight is carried by air. It would almost certainly have arrived in the UK by some route or another even if the PM had closed our borders to India earlier. The sooner this ridiculous idea that the virus (in all its variations) can be prevented from crossing borders, the sooner some sanity will be restored to the world.

YMB, I don’t feel let down by the current Tory incumbents. I think overall they’ve done a great job in the most difficult of times. Yes, they’ve made mistakes but if you’re looking for perfection you’re not going to find it - anywhere. I wouldn’t have wanted their job over recent years - it’s been a thankless task. I wouldn’t hesitate to vote for them again.
