Vaccines are rarely -- if ever -- 100% effective, so there are bound to be a few cases that slip through the net. But if widespread vaccination severely reduces the rates of serious Covid cases, then the odd "mild" case here or there could clearly be tolerated, and there shouldn't be a need to continue tight constraints.

The problems arise when hospitalisations are in the tens of thousands, and when deaths are in the high hundreds/low thousands per day. I have no idea whether we should expect reaching that point again, or if such horror numbers are now behind us. But, regardless, national policy on the issue should hardly be shaped by anecdotes such as this one.

have you seen the figures canary? 104052 have caught the virus in the last week, over half of those have been double vaccinated. Deaths are barely rising. Did they do stats in your school?

Double vaccination followed by symptoms, then two negative flow tests, symptoms persist then a positive PCR.

A timely reminder indeed. Rightly or wrongly I believed IF one got covid when we had been vaccinated, the symptoms would be very mild. Obviously not . I agree sqad re the pcr. tests .

do we have a ref for `100 000 cases with 50 000 double vaccinated

the mort ( death darling, people who die) is 0.01% and so we could conclude covid = flu
and start behaving as such

and yeah I did do stats at skool and 0.01% mort is peanuts (*)

42 is a small sample. And 29% is around 12 of 42. So 71% were from the non vaccinnated.

Rightly, it seems. Mr Marr required no medical attention:
