Quite, Jim. A member admitting that early on in the game their expectations were blown out of the water is in no way breaking Site Rules.

Touchy, touchy precious Moddy.

Surely a taboo word can be replaced by asterisks instead of deleting the whole post.
There are ways of expressing things and using a phrase that is defined as, "taboo, swear-word" breaks the Rules as does questioning deletions.

This is merely friendly advice and folk are free to follow or ignore it.

As I understand it, only the EDs are able to edit posts and they're not usually here at the weekends.

DD, maybe we have an Italian mod? ☺
How the expression 'blown out of the water', meaning kaput, finished, has become a taboo profanity is beyond my comprehension.
Well, it hasn't JD. Although if your post goes missing, then somebody clearly thinks it has.
DD, the Mod and the dictionary disagree so I suggest you wait to see if your post is re-instated with any offending words removed.
There was literally nothing wrong with the post; I made the point that I clearly knew nothing because I predicted a 1-0 Italy win.
Just re-post it if it was that awesome ...
Got to be Italy to win.
JD, the expression consisted of two short words.
Oh, I see. You mean b. j. ?
No

I don't think it wise to continue this any further.
Just to stick my oar in, I didn't think it was offensive and even less so as it was directed straight at the poster himself and not at anyone else.

If that shorthand term is taboo then it should be added to the filter.
